Pomodoro Technique

“Time is precious and all of us have been given equal time.”

This is a known fact but an ulterior fact that our single day or our daily routine has been credited by not one or couple of seconds but by 84,000 seconds. And among us,very few are able to utilize it completely. In 84,000 seconds we have to enhance ourselves ,give best out of best ,learn skills, improve ourselves and make ourselves better than yesterday.

So coming to point, this article is about how to utilize, manage and track our time on a daily schedule and make ourselves productive.

The answer is Pomodoro Technique, developed by Francesco Cirillo. The Pomodoro is Italian word which mean ‘Tomato’. through which you can make each and every minute productive.

Pomodoro Technique says :‘‘Divide the time in the sets of 15 or 20 or 25 or 40 or 90 minutes according to the task and your profession. And once you divide the time and once you make the sets of time for a day,set your timer accordingly and start the work and in that time just focus on that work only. Don’t focus on any other thing. Don’t get disturbed by anything .Do not bring anything else in your mind except that work which you’d given this time and this set for.Unless and until that work won’t finish ,just do that work consistently and continuously without any break and disturbance with full concentration. As soon as that time finished take 5 or 10 mins break but not before this.

Simple steps:

  • Decide on the task to be done.
  • Set the pomodoro timer (traditionally to 25 minutes).
  • Work on the task.
  • End work when the timer rings and put a checkmark on a piece of paper.
  • If you have fewer than four checkmarks, take a short break (3–5 minutes) and then Set the pomodoro timer again
  • After four pomodoros, take a longer break (15–30 minutes), reset your checkmark count to zero, and start again

If you want to be concentrated ,productive ,focused, loaded then just stay concentrated within that period for which you had make sets. Start with 25 mins and according to your work and profession make the sets. Analyze your sets at the end of the day and realize and correct your mistakes or the set you had wasted . Analyze it for few weeks then you will get to used of this technique and you’ll become better than before, more productive, more focused, more concentrated and more dedicated.

Hope Pomodoro Technique might help you. I am the one getting benefit from it and suggest you to adapt this.
